The lymph system s a complex network of veins and capillaries as intricate as your body's circulatory system. The major differences between the two is that while the circulatory system brings blood, oxygen and nutrients to the tissue, the lymphatic system takes “the garbage out” so to speak. The lymph system, unlike the circulatory system, does not have a heart to pump out toxins. Lymph is removed from the body through exercise and movement, breathing and through the manual sequestering of fluids in Lymph massage. Lymph massage is subtle but do not let this fool you because it is a very powerful way to clear the body of toxins. To avoid feeling low-energy after a Lymph massage it is better experienced when the immune system is healthy. Like in any bodywork you will want to drink plenty of water following this therapy.
